The Water Depot can keep your water supply safe and clean
PROFESSIONAL WATER TANK CLEANING SERVICES

We keep it clean, so you don't have to.

While you can clean your water tank yourself, using a professional saves you time and hassle and ensures that your tank is properly cleaned.

A side-by-side comparison of water coming from a tank cleaned by The Water Depot, versus from a tank that needed to be cleaned.

We make sure your water supply is healthy and clean, including:

It is not contaminated by dead animals
Sludge hasn't collected at the bottom of the tank which could contain bacteria and contaminate your water supply
It is not full of bugs or foliage
There are no issues with your tank that might cause leaks

How often should I clean?

If you rely on a water tank for drinking water, showering or washing clothes or dishes it is important to keep your tank clean and we recommend cleaning at least once a year. However, if you are using another source, like a well for example, to supplement your water storage system, it could be bringing in dirty water as it pumps, and we recommend cleaning it more often.

Is your water cloudy, or does it have an odd smell?

CHECK IT IMMEDIATELY
The water from the delivery truck has been treated and is safe. If your water comes out of the tap looking a little cloudy or if water in your glass does not clear up after 1 minute, the sediment on the bottom of a storage tank could be the cause. Look into your water tank and check the clarity. If you can't see the bottom clearly it needs cleaning. Also, if you notice a change in smell you should check your tank as soon as possible as there could be some other form of contaminate.
CHECK IT REGULARLY
Even though your water tank might look fine from the outside, that is no guarantee that on the inside everything is okay. Just like taking lint out of your dryer vent, or having your gutters cleaned, tank cleaning is necessary and should be a part of a regular maintenance routine.
